Training Process

Staff training is a major point in airline management. Airlines Manager is a game inspired by reality, that’s why a partnership was concluded with the major player of aeronautics IATA so you can train your employees via trainings derived from the real world! A well-trained employee is an employee who brings value to your airline. In the same way a service increases your airline characteristic, your staff significantly impact these characteristics (Ancillary Revenue, Entertainment, Attractiveness of prices, etc.). Each increased airline characteristic will help optimize the airline, thus increase revenues eventually. In other words, train your recruits to obtain airline bonuses!

> Training choice

To train employees, I go to “Training Process: IATA” in the menu on the left in the “Staff” section”. The red label “TRAINING PROCESS: IATA” indicates that recruits are available to be trained. Here we can manage the carrer evolution of the entire staff. Recruits don’t grant any airline bonus, that’s why we should to train them. You will find 5 different trainings by scrolling down with the scroll bar on the right side. All trainings belong to different professional areas of civil aviations. Each training grants different characteristic bonuses.

To obtain airline bonuses, recruits have to be trained to become entry-level employees. The “Train” button in the “RECRUITS AVAILABLE” insert on the left side of the screen enables to access this first training level. The screen below presents the 5 areas in which your recruits can be trained. Each area affects 3 airline characteristics. So you have to make a choice according to your strategy. Once you have chosen your strategy, tap “Train to entry level”.

In the screen shown below, 3 trainings are available. Each training enables you to obtain a specific bonus. All these trainings exist in the real world. You can see each training by scrolling down with the scroll bar on the left side (see screenshot below). Once the training is selected, you can choose precisely the number of recruits you want to train by scrolling with the horizontal scroll bar in the center (see screenshot below). The more recruits are trained, the more the gauges in the “Employees evolution” tab are filled. If a gauge is filled at 100%, a characteristic point is earned in the relevant area. Once the training and the number of employees to train are selected, you can tap the “TRAIN” button to access the confirmation screen.

It’s time to confirm the training. A confirmation pop-up window appears with a summary of the action, and a little bonus: you can learn more about the training of the real world on IATA’s official website. Once the training is done, the trained employees who were “recruits” become “entry-level employees”. Entry-level employees grant characteristic points. It is possible to see the impact of employees from each training in the “actual bonus” bar. The total impact of employees on the airline is shown in the “GENERAL INFORMATION” screen.

In the example shown above, entry-level employees are available in the “Airport Operation” area. Entry-level employees grant few bonuses compared to their hierarchical superiors. You can now make these employees evolve from entry-level employees to “professionals”.

> Staff evolution

“Entry-level” employees can be trained to become “Professionals” so I can obtain even more bonuses. To do so, I just have to select the available entry-level employees in the “TRAINING PROCESS: IATA” screen. The screen shown below shows all information needed about entry-level employees in the “Airport Operations” category.

Each training is represented by an icon and has a dedicated space. On this screen, 2 options are available: Train entry-level employees so they become professionals, thus granting more bonuses to the airline. Retire entry-level employees to reduce staff. This action enables to reduce the salary cost per day.
